ermitage prize

During 2005, the Harlock cultural association started a fruitful collaboration with the ERMITAGE publishing company in Bologna (Italy), creating the "Ermitage prize” as part of the Rimusicazioni festival.
The publisher has made five titles available to the organising committee, due to be published on DVD during 2007.
Authors who take part in the Rimusicazioni festival, composing a new soundtrack for these chosen films, will be competing for a cash prize as well as the award bearing the publisher’s name. Ermitage will then publish the best "musical re-workings” as part of its 2007 catalogue, being sold in Italy, Europe and the rest of the world.

To enable authors to work on the video material, Ermitage has made one copy of each film available to us, with authorisation to pass the work on to interested composers, so they can watch the production and use the material for their competition entry.

Authors who send in a request will receive a DVD copy of the films, subject to the payment of postage and the cost price of the DVD.
To receive a copy:

  • Contact the coordination office (rimusicazioni@4ff.it) to provide your postal address and/or to ask for further information
  • Make the relevant payment using one of the following methods:

    • PAYPAL (send the office an email requesting the relevant information)
    • Only in Italy: send €4.00 (euros) worth of stamps (contact the coordination office via email)
  • The amount to be paid varies according to the shipping costs:
    ITALY: € 4.00
    EUROPE AND MEDITERRANEAN BASIN: € 5.00
    AFRICA, ASIA, THE AMERICAS : € 7.00
    AUSTRALIA / NEW ZEALAND: € 7.20
Once payment has been received, the coordination office (with Cineforum Bolzano acting as the pivotal figure) will be in charge of sending out the copy of the DVD using the priority mail service.
The DVD contains all the films, in a compressed copy.
